Outside of physics, I am heavily involved in advocacy at Cornell. I am an executive member of Cornell's Graduate Women in Science chapter, an organization dedicated to empowering women and gender minorities in STEM, and a member of the physics department's Diversity and Inclusion Council. I am also an elected representative on the University Assembly, and worked as an instructor for Cornell's Prison Education Program.

Saaj is now in her junior year in Applied and Engineering Physics at Cornell University, with a minor in Education.
